Spring is Here is a colourful celebration of Canadian art and the energy of the season. It brings together a strong selection of works that reflect spring’s sense of renewal.
At its heart are the joyful, unmistakable works of legendary folk artists Maud Lewis and Joe Norris, whose paintings are known for their vivid palettes and joyful depictions of everyday life in Nova Scotia. Their pieces set the tone for an exhibition filled with charm, colour and storytelling.
Alongside them are important historic Canadian artists including Franklin Carmichael, Ming Zhou, Ethel Seath, William Henry Clapp, Bruno Cote, and Peter Haworth, and more.
Bridging past and present, the exhibition also features contemporary works by artists such as Helen Utsal, David Drum, and Robert Buick whose pieces bring a fresh, modern energy to the collection.
Experience the spirit of spring through colour, light, and imagination!
