Alyssa Tuvan

Gallery Assistant

Alyssa was born in Toronto, Ontario and from a young age displayed a passion for arts and culture. She spent her childhood painting watercolour with her twin sister and grandmother, eventually deciding to pursue a degree in Illustration at Sheridan Institute of Advanced Technology where she honed her skills in both digital and traditional mediums.

After graduating from Sheridan College, Alyssa felt a strong desire to go out and experience the world. She landed a job in hospitality with Fairmont hotels in 2012 which allowed her to start traveling and working abroad. Her adventurous spirit led her to many far off places, from the Rocky Mountains to the Cayman Islands.

Throughout all her years in hospitality, Alyssa continued to work on other creative projects both in creative arts and writing. During this time she founded her own successful lifestyle blog Best Day of the Week and spent time writing professionally before starting her position at Rookleys Canadian Art. Her eclectic experience gives her the ability to easily pivot between roles at the gallery and genuinely connect with our customers and clientele.
