It is also signed, titled and dated September, 1968 on the reverse side of the piece. The painting depicts the banks of a large flowing river in the north-central region of Saskatchewan. The remains of an old, dilapidated bridge clings to the shore of the waterway in the distance. A collection of logs dominates the foreground, washed up from the current and painted in hues of orange and yellow that compliment the blue water that surrounds them. Vibrant green grasses line the river, adding further colour to this dynamic piece.
