Jazmine Tara Miller’s Coral Depths is a dynamic abstract composition built from sweeping fields of turquoise, cobalt, aqua, deep blue, and green. Broad arcs of darker pigment curve through the upper half of the painting, creating a sense of circular movement, while the large pale area below opens the composition and provides a striking contrast to the surrounding saturated colour.

The layered surface suggests shifting currents, underwater forms, and light moving through depth. Miller combines fluid passages with vigorous brushwork, allowing some colours to blend softly while others remain more sharply defined. Flecks of violet, green, and near-black add complexity to the predominantly blue palette, while irregular white edges and small splashes reinforce the feeling of water in motion.

Rather than representing a specific underwater scene, Coral Depths evokes the sensation of immersion. The painting moves between darkness and luminosity, giving it both energy and a sense of mystery, while the expansive pale centre suggests light emerging through deep, constantly changing water.
