Windy Day by Jack Bush is a 9.125 x 11 inch oil on board that was produced in 1936 and signed on the bottom right corner. It is also signed, titled and dated on the reverse. The painting depicts a simple home surrounded by a wooden fence. Directly in front of the house stands an enormous tree. Its towering form casts shadows over the scene. Bush uses quick and gestural brush strokes to indicate the movement of the oncoming wind. His colour palette is a combination of muted greys and vibrant jewel tones.
This painting was previously on display at Bourne Fine Art in London, UK as well as the Thielsen Gallery in London, Ontario and Heffel in Toronto.
