Their trunks frame the composition, as the viewer gazes down toward the water. Drum uses a cheerful colour palette of saturated blues and greens, contrasted with pops of orange and yellow throughout. His style, characterized by quick brush strokes and layers of colour, shines in this piece, highlighting his ability to capture the feeling and essence of a specific location.
