Wildflowers by Kristina Todd is a 12 x 16 inch acrylic on canvas produced in 2025 and signed in the bottom left corner. The painting depicts a sun setting over a vast meadow dotted with purple wildflowers. Off in the distance, mountains can be seen, back lit from the vibrant sunset beyond. Todd uses a brilliant blend of saturated hues to capture the light of the sky at dusk. Her combination of orange, yellow, purple and pink draws the eye deep into the canvas, beyond the tall blades of grass.
Todd is an emerging artist from the Niagara region known for creating dynamic landscapes that emphasize light and shadow. Her use of colour and texture brings her pieces to life.
