Coral Reef by David Drum is a 22 x 28 inch mixed media on reverse glass panel. It was produced in 2019 and is signed on the reverse to enable the piece to be hung in any direction. It has David Drum Inventory #4973b on the back of the painting. It was made in collaboration with Drum’s wife, Barbara Vance, using a combination of materials, from gold leaf to automotive paint and glitter. The duo uses a blend of soft pastels and vibrant jewel tones to create lively and energetic abstract pieces. Bold and broad paint strokes give this piece incredible movement, drawing the eye in and around the composition. Coral Reef is one of a two part series. The series comes to Rookleys directly from David Drum’s studio in Crystal Beach.
