Lassman is particularly drawn to water scenes, where she explores the shifting contrast between warm and cool colour. Her paintings often pair fresh greens, soft yellows, coral pinks and warm sandy tones with cooler blues, lavenders, violets and turquoise. This balance is especially evident in her water lily paintings, including All Fired Up, All is Calm, Delightful Lily Pond, Feeling so Good Today, Happy Together, So Happy to be Here and Sweet Serenity. These works show floating lily pads, delicate blossoms and reflective pond surfaces rendered with a dreamy, impressionistic touch.

Her beach paintings, including Makes Me Smile, Relaxing Beach Day, Summer Day at the Beach and The Happiest Beach Day, capture the simple pleasure of summer by the water. Small figures, umbrellas, children at play, pale sand and wide blue skies give these works a warm, nostalgic quality. Lassman’s beach scenes are not strict topographical records, but impressions of happiness, leisure and light. They evoke the feeling of a bright day near the shore, where colour, memory and atmosphere merge.

Through loose brushwork, layered colour and soft reflections, she creates works that feel both elegant and personal. Her paintings bring a sense of calm into the home, whether through a luminous water garden, a peaceful pond, a cheerful beach scene or a custom vacation memory painting created from a client’s own photograph.
