Julia Dworak; Rebirth,Pemberton BC
Although initially planning to study photography at Seneca College, the disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic led to a pivotal decision: to take a year off and pursue a more hands-on creative path. This decision brought Julia to Sheridan College, where she graduated in 2024 with a degree in Visual and Creative Arts.

Julia's work often speaks to the healing power of art, with each piece acting as both a meditative process and a personal form of expression. Her pointillist technique, developed after discovering the Australian Indigenous collaborative group Martumili, brings together small, deliberate marks to form large, emotive landscapes that transcend the physical and connect to the emotional. This method allows Julia to meditate through the act of creation, guiding the painting with colour and texture to reflect moments of personal significance.
