Wild Poppies by David Drum is a 20 x 30 inch oil on canvas that was produced in 2023 and signed in the bottom left. This vibrant floral painting depicts a dense garden of bright red poppies. The stems of the flowers intertwine with one another, creating a curtain of flora. The background is painted in shades of pink, purple and yellow, giving the peace a whimsical feeling. Drum is known for his unapologetic use of colour and technique of expressively layering paint to create cheerful and dynamic landscapes.
