Koi Pond by David Drum is a 9 x 8 inch oil on matboard produced in 2023 and signed in the bottom left hand corner. The small piece depicts a pond strewn with water lillies. Bright orange and white koi fish swim amongst the lilly pads. There is a strong contrast between the dark blue water and the bright colour of the koi fish adding depth to the piece. Overall, the painting emits a cheerful tone, that is very characteristic of Drums work.
Drum resides in the Niagara region of Ontario and is still producing art from his studio in Crystal Beach.
